Feb. 26, 2015 - At the construction Roundtable in Jackson, Miss., hosted by the Mississippi Valley Branch of Associated General Contractors. Memphis District Commander Col. Jeff Anderson (center) presents the Army's Civilian Award for Humanitarian Service to representatives of Patton Tully Transportation Co. They are accepting on behalf of one of their employees, a contract Quality Control Representative. He, together with one of our Memphis District employees, decisively reacted with hands-on assistance, and courageously rescued a drowning woman near Island 18, Missouri, on the Mississippi River. Their quick and determined actions were directly instrumental in the successful rescue of a human life that otherwise would have been lost. Their selfless dedication to duty and personal courage reflect great credit upon themselves, Patton Tully Transportation Company, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
