  • Regular dialogue with the navigation industry continues to keep commerce moving on the Mississippi River system

    Fair Landing, Arkansas, Nov. 9, 2014 -- Near constant communication between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the navigation industry and the U.S. Coast Guard is allowing commercial barge traffic to safely pass a restricted section of the Lower Mississippi River (Miles 632 – 635) near Fair Landing, Arkansas, and 30 miles south of Helena, Arkansas, with a less than10-hour daily delay.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn., Sept. 8, 2014 – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District, will host a public scoping meeting to discuss the Cache River Basin, Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the Paragould Community Center. The address is 3404 Linwood Drive (Hwy 49), Paragould, Ark.
