MEMPHIS, Tenn., Jan. 15, 2004 – Dr. Benjamin L. Hooks, lawyer, clergyman and former
executive director of the NAACP, will be the featured speaker at a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
memorial observance to be held by the Memphis District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The event will take place Jan. 16 at 9:30 a.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.
The public is invited to attend.
