Belk reassigned to Washington, D.C.

VICKSBURG, MISS., February 9, 2015 – Mr. Edward E. Belk, Jr., is being reassigned by the Secretary of the Army from the position of director of Programs for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi Valley Division and the Mississippi River Commission in Vicksburg, Miss., to the position of chief of the Operations and Regulatory Community of Practice within the Directorate of Civil Works at Corps Headquarters in Washington, D.C., effective April 5, 2015.

Arkabutla Lake Hosting Public Meeting on Project Master Plan

VICKSBURG, Miss… The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District’s at Arkabutla Lake has scheduled a public meeting regarding the update of the Project Master Plan. The meeting will be held March 4, 2015, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Arkabutla Lake Field office, 5500 Arkabutla Dam Road, Hernando, Mississippi 38632.

Corps of Engineers schedules Partnering Meeting

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Feb. 5, 2015 – The public is invited to attend a “Partnering Meeting” sponsored by the Memphis District on Feb. 12, 2015, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Holiday Inn, 1121 E. Main St., Blytheville, Ark. Topics will include an overview of the Memphis District’s work in this region, updates on the Levee Safety Program, Mississippi River navigation improvements, and flood preparedness.
