IN THE PHOTO, our current bank grading unit. The equipment used to ‘grade’ the river bank is a vintage 1949 barge mounted Bucyrus-Erie dragline with a 183 foot boom and a 15 cubic yard bucket. Additional earthmoving capacity is provided by a compliment of bulldozers. Channel Improvement Team members discussed the future replacement of this bank grading unit by the Seatrax unit pictured below.
