Partnerships | PPA Signing for Greenbelt Landing Project
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Memphis District Commander Col. Brian Sawser and City of Memphis Mayor Paul Young sign the Project Partnership Agreement to advance the Greenbelt Landing Project – a major recreational improvement initiative along the Mississippi River at Greenbelt Park. Located at River Mile 738, Greenbelt Park spans approximately 102 acres of public green space along the Mississippi River. Originally constructed in the late 1960s as part of the Mississippi River & Tributaries Project, the park has long served as a community hub for recreation and river access. The Greenbelt Landing Project will enhance the park’s infrastructure and amenities, including repairs to the existing boat ramp, construction of a second upstream ramp, installation of mooring anchors, ADA-compliant parking upgrades, and additional lighting for safety and accessibility.
