On June 11, 2025, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Chief Counsel’s Office recognized Seth Rowland, assistant district counsel for the Memphis District, with the Joseph W. Kimbel Award for Professional Potential during the Chief Counsel’s Honorary Awards virtual presentation. The award, named after Judge Joseph W. Kimbel, who served the Corps for 43 years, honors an attorney demonstrating exceptional potential for future legal achievement within the Corps’ Legal Services Community over a sustained period.
