Memphis District breaks ground on Greenbelt Landing recreational improvement project
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Memphis District held a groundbreaking ceremony, Mar. 30, to mark the beginning of construction to update and expand Greenbelt Landing, located at the north end of Mud Island near downtown Memphis. The Greenbelt Landing Project will improve the park’s infrastructure and amenities by repairing the current boat ramp, constructing a second upstream ramp, installing mooring anchors, upgrading ADA-compliant parking, and adding additional lighting to enhance safety and accessibility. The Memphis River Parks Partnership, which manages the city’s public parks, is assisting with implementation efforts. (USACE Photo by Visual Information Specialist Vance Harris/Released)
