Physical Support Branch Marine Facilities Specialist Chad Chrisco was recently awarded the Director of Army Safety Risk Management Safety Award for his efforts during Ensley Engineer Yard string-out barge replacement operations.

The citation reads in part, “For seven weeks Chad led a team of 40 personnel, consisting of 17 different specialties, working over 2,700 team-hours in inhospitable river conditions facing serious hazards to an accident free operation. Continuing to praise his flexibility, team empowerment, and strong commitment to safety, the citation also reads Chrisco’s actions are, “representative of the best operations performed by the Memphis District. Mr. Chrisco’s accomplishments reflect great credit upon the U.S. government, the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.”
