The White River Backwater Levee Gravel Resurfacing Project Delivery Team (PDT) recently celebrated reaching their project’s Contract Award milestone. They awarded the contract to A-Rock Construction which will resurface 15 miles of the White River Backwater levee in Phillips and Monroe Counties, Arkansas. This maintenance work on the levee’s crown provides safe and reliable access for vehicles and monitoring levee conditions.

Our much-appreciated local Partner on this project is the White River Drainage District.

The White River Backwater Levee Gravel Resurfacing PDT members are Project Manager Jairus Stroupe, Technical Lead Bio Dambo, Cost Engineer Conrad Stacks, Biologist Jennifer Hiltonsmith, and Contracting Specialist Sequoria Wilson.

And a special thanks to our Construction Branch team members who were the boots on the ground, walking the levees, verifying plans, specifications, gravel quantities, areas needing resurfacing, and many other tasks required for project success.

Congratulations to the entire Team!
