A Memphis District Project Delivery Team recently completed a boat ramp repair and rehabilitation project in New Madrid, Missouri, on Nov. 20, 2023.

Project work included repairing and rehabbing damaged portions of existing concrete slab, repairing the subbase and subgrade near the damaged slab areas, constructing new cast-in-place and push-in-place concrete slabs over the existing ramp and armoring the river and land sides of the ramp with graded riprap stone to safeguard against damage and scouring.

Using Bipartisan Infrastructure Law of 2022 funding, the project delivery team awarded a $1,970,053 contract to contractors Graylee Construction and Demolition of Ward, Arkansas, for the project's concrete work and Midwest Construction Company of Nebraska City, Nebraska, for project stone placement.

The district thanks both partners on the project, including the City of New Madrid, Missouri, and the St. Johns Levee and Drainage District.

The Memphis District and both project partners will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on Dec. 14 to celebrate project completion.
