The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Memphis District (CEMVM), released a Draft Integrated Feasibility Report and Draft Environmental Assessment (DIFR‐EA) today for the Continuing Authorities Program (CAP), Section 14, Emergency Streambank and Shoreline Erosion Feasibility Study.
The study pertains to the Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW) Tower #1613, located in Shelby County, Memphis, Tennessee, and evaluates whether it would be more cost-effective to relocate the facility or to stabilize the shoreline in order to mitigate the risk of streambank erosion.
