MEMPHIS, Tenn., Jan. 18, 2005 – The Memphis District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host a program commemorating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King and his leadership of the Civil Rights Movement on Jan. 20, at 9 a.m. in the Memphis City Hall Council Chambers.
Special guest speaker will be Civil Rights photojournalist Dr. Ernest C. Withers. Music by the Downtown Elementary School choir will also be featured on the program.
Federal, state, county and city employees – in addition to the general public – are invited to attend.
