St. Johns Bayou and New Madrid Floodway EIS comment period extended to Nov. 25

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Sept. 3, 2013 – The Memphis District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has extended the public comment period for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the St. Johns Bayou and New Madrid Floodway Project to Nov. 25, 2013. The initial Notice of Availability was published in the Federal Register July 26 and established a public comment period from July 26 to Sept. 9. That deadline for submitting comments has now been extended to Nov. 25.
