Mission Statement

The Construction Branch provides superior construction services for the Civil Works and Environmental programs throughout the District. The highly qualified staff serves as the District's technical construction contract administration and quality assurance team. These specialists have responsibility for all phases of construction contract activities within District boundaries to include; scheduling and construction contract performance and processing contractors’ submittal of plans of operation and shop drawings. The Branch reviews and processes contractor’s payment estimates, and contract close-out documents.

The Caruthersville Area Office (CAO) provides supervision, administration, and inspection of all construction, relocation, and hired labor contracts of the portion of the Mississippi River from Cairo, IL through Osceola, AR; and portions of the states of Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, and Tennessee, delineated within the boundaries of the Memphis District. This office performs quality assurance inspections to ensure compliance with the quality defined by the contract plans and specifications.

The Wynne Area Office (WAO) provides supervision, administration, and inspection of all construction, relocation, and hired labor contracts in the Northeast corner of Arkansas, the portion of the Mississippi River between Osceola, AR and the mouth of the White River, and the portions of Tennessee and Mississippi delineated within the boundaries of the Memphis District. The office performs quality assurance inspections to ensure compliance with the quality defined by the contract plans and specifications.
