MEMPHIS, Tenn., Dec. 13, 2024 -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Memphis District (CEMVM), released a Draft Integrated Feasibility Report and Draft Environmental Assessment (DIFR‐EA) today for the Continuing Authorities Program (CAP), Section 14, Emergency Streambank and Shoreline Erosion Feasibility Study.
The study pertains to the Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW) Tower #1613, located in Shelby County, Memphis, Tennessee, and evaluates whether it would be more cost-effective to relocate the facility or to stabilize the shoreline in order to mitigate the risk of streambank erosion.

The study documents, titled Draft Integrated Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment (DIFR-EA) and Public Notice, are located under the Memphis District Civil Works Projects section.
The draft report includes:
- A description of the project
- An evaluation of the alternatives under consideration
- An analysis of potential environmental effects
USACE invites the public and all interested parties and stakeholders to provide comments on the DIFR‐EA. All comments received will be addressed and considered in the decision-making process. Comments may be submitted via email or regular mail to the addresses provided below.
