    Memphis District hosts Job Fair

    On March 14, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Memphis District held a Job Fair at the America Job Center, 3040 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis. The successful four hour event attracted approximately 50 potential candidates. At the time of the event, the District had 31 open positions listed on USAJobs.gov. Though the event is over, job seekers can still search openings with the district on USAJobs.gov or by going to the district’s website (https://www.mvm.usace.army.mil/) and clicking on the “Jobs” link.

    Evans wins 2018 Engineer Regimental Outstanding Civilian of the Year Award

    The 2018 U.S. Army Engineer Awards Board’s Outstanding Civilian of the Year Award Committee recently selected Memphis District’s Jamie Evans as the Outstanding Civilian of the Year. Every year the committee selects an Army civilian engineer to recognize for their outstanding contributions and support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the regiment, including civil works, humanitarian, and community achievements.

    From their offices in Memphis, Tennessee, engineers with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) provide Enterprise support to other divisions and districts needing solutions to their engineering challenges. Memphis District provides engineering services that include planning, engineering design, cost engineering, and construction management to USACE organizations with overseas missions.
