    MEMPHIS, Tenn., Oct. 9, 2012 – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will celebrate its 130th year of service in Memphis with a ceremony on Oct. 11, beginning at 11 a.m. on the ground floor of the Clifford Davis – Odell Horton Federal Building, 167 N. Main St., in downtown Memphis.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn., Sept. 5, 2012 – The Memphis District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in conjunction with other project partners, will hold an information open house on the Lower Mississippi River Resource Assessment (LMRRA) on Tues., Sept. 13, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Noland Laborde Hall in the Lod Cook Alumni Center, 3848 W. Lakeshore Drive, Baton Rouge, La.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn., Aug. 27, 2012 – In anticipation of Hurricane Isaac making landfall along the north-central Gulf Coast near New Orleans, the Memphis District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, has begun preparations to support hurricane response operations.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn., Aug. 21, 2012 – A public meeting is scheduled aboard the Motor Vessel MISSISSIPPI within the Corps’ Memphis District so commission members have the opportunity to meet with local residents and hear their concerns, ideas and issues.
